Cold-climate equipment, chosen for our design temperature
Colorado Springs sits near a 1°F winter design temperature. Modern cold-climate inverter heat pumps hold useful capacity down to about 5°F and keep producing heat below zero, which covers the overwhelming majority of our heating hours. We select equipment against published low-temperature capacity tables — not a nameplate tonnage — so the system actually carries your home when it matters.
